Ads in the Past Were Weird

Here’s a few of the ads I’ve found so far. Mrs. Pine’s first edition Rib Scout manual doesn’t have nearly as many ads as my personal copy (a 5th edition). The few ads it does have though, what were people doing back then?
So… I checked online and I CANNOT find any mention of TunaMan. I called Mrs. Pine about it and she told me that back then canned tuna was really exciting and cool. The Rib Scouts are so careful about what they endorse now (I’m sure we all remember the raw-rib-popsicle disaster). This TunaMan ad placement looks more like a way to squash the competition via freaky fish pictures than anything else.
