Rib Scout Pledge

“I promise to never waste the sauce – of life or of ribs. To always savor the flavor down to the bone. I pledge to help my fellow scouts, to be a supporting rib in my Rack. Together we make the whole cage. Community is my mission. Ribs are my guide. May Rib Scouts make life more delicious, I pledge on my marrow.”

The pledge is mostly unchanged. Back in the 50’s it had a bit of “ – Together we make the whole cage, under God.” but that got nixed after the protests in the 60’s. Oh America, never change.
